- Genuine Ford Part Number 4C3Z-9B246F STC Fitting upgrade kit (This kit repairs a design problem with the STC (Snap to Connect) fitting that was a common cause of high pressure oil leaks. The new style fitting is already removed from the kit and installed on the high pressure pump for you. You will receive the remainder of the kit which includes the 6.0 high pressure oil pump cover gasket and other seals and gaskets necessary for installation of your new 6.0 Powerstroke HPOP. - This is a $60 Value

6.0 Ford Powerstroke HPOP NOTES:
Failure of this pump is a common issue with the 6.0L Powerstroke.

We very strongly recommend replacing the high pressure oil pump intake screen located in the bottom of the high pressure oil reservoir below the engine oil cooler. In a large majority of cases where the 6.0 diesel high pressure oil pump has failed, we find that the high pressure oil pump screen is torn. If the screen is not replaced, the high pressure oil pump will fail again in a very short period of time. When diagnosing 6.0 Powerstroke high pressure oil pump symptoms, some additional time and effort is required to check and replace the screen - but it will save significant time and money in the long run!

Note: If purchasing for a 2004, please do not order until physically verifying which pump you have. Regardless of what some claim, the only positive way to identify which pump you have on a '04 is by serial number or visual identification.

Please note that a $200 core charge will be added to each 6.0 Powerstroke HPOP order (unless your core is sent ahead - see below). This amount is fully refunded upon the return of a rebuildable pump which has not been disassembled. Cores missing the IPR valve will have a partial reduction in core value.
