5.9L Cummins
Fuel Pressure Warning Light Kit
fits 1998 - 2007
Owners of 1998 to 2002 Dodge trucks with the Cummins diesel engine and VP44 injection pump should be aware that failure of the (very expensive!) injection pump is frequently caused by failure of the vehicle's fuel transfer pump. Since the engine will still operate by drawing fuel through the failed pump, this failure often goes unnoticed until the damage is done.
Until now..... This Dodge/Cummins 5.9L low fuel pressure warning light kit allows you to monitor the pressure at the inlet to the injection pump. You will quickly detect a failed transfer pump or plugging fuel filters.
Normal fuel pressure on these trucks runs 10-13 pounds, but can drop as low as four PSI under full load. The red warning light in this kit turns on at four PSI.
Fuel pressure warning light kit includes everything you need - warning light, pressure switch, all wiring, connectors, full instructions, etc.
